Preheat the oven to 375°F
Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels
Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan or baking dish
Brush with olive oil or melted butter
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs
Place sliced onion, garlic, or herbs around the turkey if desired
Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast
Roast uncovered until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Baste once or twice during cooking if desired
Tent loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes
Slice and serve
