How to Cook Turkey in Roaster Oven?

Thaw the turkey completely in the refrigerator

Remove giblets and neck from the cavity

Pat the turkey dry with paper towels

Season the turkey with salt, pepper, and desired herbs or spices

Preheat the roaster oven to 325°F

Place the roaster rack inside the pan

Add 1 to 2 cups of water, broth, or stock to the pan if desired

Set the turkey breast-side up on the rack

Cover the roaster oven with the lid

Roast the turkey until the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the thickest part of the thigh and breast

Baste occasionally if desired

Check the temperature with a meat thermometer

Remove the turkey from the roaster oven

Let the turkey rest for 20 to 30 minutes before carving

Carve and serve
