Remove old caulk completely
Clean the area with soap and water
Scrape off residue with a caulk remover or utility knife
Wipe the surface dry
Let the area dry fully
Apply painter’s tape along both sides of the joint if desired
Cut the caulk tube tip at a 45-degree angle
Puncture the inner seal of the tube
Load the tube into a caulk gun
Apply steady pressure and run a continuous bead along the joint
Keep the bead even and fill the gap fully
Smooth the caulk with a wet finger or caulk tool
Remove painter’s tape before the caulk skins over
Wipe away excess caulk immediately
Let the caulk cure for the recommended time
Keep the shower dry until fully cured
