Turn on the printer
Open the ink cartridge access door
Wait for the carriage to move to the center
Press down on the old cartridge to release it
Pull the old cartridge out
Remove the new cartridge from its packaging
Remove the protective tape from the new cartridge
Insert the new cartridge into the correct slot
Push the cartridge in until it clicks
Close the cartridge access door
Wait for the printer to align the cartridges if prompted
