Unplug the washing machine
Remove all laundry from the drum
Check and clean the detergent drawer
Wipe the door seal and gasket with a damp cloth
Remove any visible lint, hair, or debris from the drum
Clean the drum with a washing machine cleaner or white vinegar
Run a hot empty cycle
Clean the filter or drain trap if your model has one
Wipe the exterior of the machine
Leave the door open to let the drum dry
Repeat monthly to prevent buildup
