How To Clean Battery Terminal Corrosion?

Turn off the vehicle and remove the key

Wear gloves and safety glasses

Disconnect the negative battery terminal first

Disconnect the positive battery terminal second

Mix baking soda with water

Apply the solution to the corroded terminals

Scrub the corrosion with a wire brush or battery terminal brush

Wipe away residue with a clean cloth

Rinse lightly with clean water if needed

Dry the terminals completely

Clean the cable clamps the same way

Reconnect the positive terminal first

Reconnect the negative terminal second

Tighten the connections securely
