Unplug the iron and let it cool completely
Empty any remaining water from the tank
Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth
Mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water
Dampen a cloth with the soapy solution and wipe the soleplate
Use a cotton swab to clean steam holes and edges
Wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue
Dry the iron thoroughly with a soft towel
Clean the water reservoir with equal parts water and white vinegar if needed
Rinse the reservoir with clean water after using vinegar
Use a non-abrasive sponge for stubborn buildup
Avoid using steel wool, harsh chemicals, or sharp tools
Store the iron upright after it is fully dry
