Unplug the washing machine
Remove all laundry from the drum
Clean the detergent drawer
Wipe the door, gasket, and seals
Check and clean the lint filter or drain pump filter
Run a hot empty cycle with washing machine cleaner or white vinegar
Add baking soda to the drum if needed
Scrub any visible residue inside the drum
Leave the door and detergent drawer open to dry
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth
Repeat monthly or as needed
