Fix the underlying airbag/SRS fault first
Check the vehicle battery and charging system
Inspect and reseat airbag-related connectors under seats and in the steering wheel area
Replace any damaged clockspring, seat belt pretensioner, impact sensor, or airbag module as needed
Use an OBD2 scanner with SRS/Airbag support to read and clear codes
Clear the codes only after repairs are completed
Turn the ignition off and on to confirm the light is gone
If the light returns, have a qualified mechanic diagnose the system
Do not disconnect or test airbag components without proper safety procedures
