Thaw in the refrigerator overnight or place in a bowl of cold water for 15 to 20 minutes
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels
Remove shells and devein if needed
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with oil or butter
Add shrimp in a single layer
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque
Season with salt, pepper, garlic, lemon, or other desired spices
Remove from heat immediately to avoid overcooking
Serve hot
