How to Cook Snow Crab?

Thaw frozen snow crab in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water

Rinse the crab briefly under cold water

Fill a large pot with water and add salt

Bring the water to a boil

Place a steamer basket in the pot if using one

Add the snow crab legs or clusters to the pot

Cover the pot

Steam for 5 to 7 minutes if thawed

Steam for 8 to 10 minutes if frozen

Or boil for 4 to 6 minutes if thawed

Or boil for 6 to 8 minutes if frozen

Remove the crab with tongs

Drain well

Serve with melted butter, lemon, or seasoning of choice
