Pat the turkey leg dry with paper towels
Rub the turkey leg with oil or melted butter
Season with salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, and herbs
Place the turkey leg in a roasting pan or baking dish
Add a little water or broth to the pan if desired
Cover loosely with foil
Roast for 45 to 60 minutes
Remove the foil
Continue roasting for 20 to 30 minutes until browned
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
Let the turkey leg rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving
