How to Cook Morels Mushrooms?

Clean the morels gently with a soft brush or damp paper towel

Slice larger morels in half lengthwise

Soak briefly in lightly salted water if needed, then drain well

Pat completely dry before cooking

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat

Add chopped shallots or garlic if desired

Add the morels and cook until they release moisture

Continue cooking until the moisture evaporates and the mushrooms brown

Season with salt and black pepper

Add a splash of white wine, cream, or stock if desired

Cook for a few more minutes until tender

Serve immediately over toast, pasta, eggs, or meat

Never eat morels raw

Cook thoroughly before serving
