Place the frozen mince in the fridge on a plate or in a container to catch drips
Defrost in the fridge for 24 hours or until fully thawed
Cook immediately after fridge defrosting
For faster defrosting, seal mince in a leak-proof bag
Submerge the sealed bag in cold water
Change the water every 30 minutes
Cook immediately after thawing
For microwave defrosting, use the defrost setting and check frequently
Stir and break up mince during defrosting
Cook immediately after microwave defrosting
Do not defrost at room temperature
Do not refreeze mince once fully thawed unless it has been cooked
