Pat the chicken breast dry
Pound to an even thickness
Season both sides with salt and pepper
Heat a skillet over medium heat
Add oil to coat the pan
Place the chicken breast in the pan
Cook without moving until golden brown
Flip the chicken breast
Cook until the second side is golden brown
Reduce heat if needed to prevent burning
Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F
Remove from the pan
Rest for a few minutes before slicing
