Slice halloumi into 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick pieces
Pat the cheese dry with paper towels
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat
Lightly oil the grill grates or brush the halloumi with oil
Place the halloumi directly on the grill
Grill for 1 to 2 minutes per side
Flip once grill marks appear and the cheese releases easily
Remove when golden brown and softened
Serve immediately
