Turn on the printer and laptop
Connect the printer to the laptop with a USB cable, or connect both to the same Wi-Fi network
If using USB, wait for the laptop to detect the printer
If using Wi-Fi, add the printer in the laptop’s printer settings
Install the printer driver if prompted
Open the laptop’s printer or device settings
Select the printer and set it as the default if needed
Print a test page to confirm the connection
