Eat glucose tablets or glucose gel
Drink fruit juice
Drink regular soda, not diet soda
Eat hard candy
Eat honey or sugar
Eat jam or jelly
Eat raisins or other dried fruit
Eat a small snack with carbohydrates and protein
Recheck blood sugar after 15 minutes if you are monitoring it
Repeat fast-acting sugar if blood sugar is still low
Seek emergency help if symptoms are severe or the person cannot swallow
Use glucagon if prescribed and available
