Turn off the main power to the panel
Verify the power is off with a voltage tester
Remove the panel cover
Identify the correct breaker type for the panel
Insert the breaker into the panel slot
Align the breaker with the bus bar and snap it into place
Connect the circuit wire to the breaker terminal
Tighten the terminal screw to the specified torque
Secure the breaker and check that it is fully seated
Reinstall the panel cover
Turn the main power back on
Test the breaker and circuit for proper operation
