Turn off power at the circuit breaker
Remove the old fan, if replacing one
Measure the ceiling opening and fan size
Mark the installation location between ceiling joists
Cut the ceiling opening if needed
Install mounting brackets or support framing
Run electrical cable to the fan location
Connect the wiring according to the fan diagram
Secure the fan housing to the joists or framing
Attach the duct to the fan outlet
Route the duct to an exterior vent
Seal duct joints with foil tape
Install the vent cap on the outside wall or roof
Connect the fan grille and light cover, if included
Restore power at the breaker
Test the fan for proper operation
