How to Make Masala Puri?

Soak 1 cup dried peas overnight

Pressure cook the soaked peas with salt until soft

Heat oil in a pan

Add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and green chilies

Sauté until onions turn golden

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook briefly

Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala

Cook until the masala becomes thick and oil separates

Add the cooked peas and mash lightly

Add water as needed and simmer

Adjust salt and consistency

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves

Crush puris lightly and place them on a serving plate

Top with the hot masala pea mixture

Add chopped onions, tomatoes, and coriander

Finish with tamarind chutney and green chutney

Serve immediately
