How to Make Suji Upma?

Heat 1 to 2 tablespoons oil or ghee in a pan

Add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds and let them splutter

Add 1 teaspoon urad dal and 1 teaspoon chana dal

Add a few curry leaves and 1 chopped green chili

Add 1 chopped onion and sauté until soft

Add 2 cups water and salt to taste

Bring the water to a boil

Slowly add 1 cup suji while stirring continuously

Reduce the heat and mix well to avoid lumps

Cook until the suji absorbs the water and thickens

Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on low heat

Add chopped coriander leaves

Add a little lemon juice if desired

Serve hot
