Wash and soak 1 cup rice for 15 to 20 minutes
Heat 2 tablespoons oil or ghee in a cooker
Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Add 1 sliced onion and sauté until light golden
Add 1 chopped tomato and cook until soft
Add 1 chopped green chili
Add 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
Add vegetables like peas, carrot, beans, and potato
Add salt, turmeric, and garam masala
Add the soaked rice and mix gently
Add 1.5 cups water
Close the cooker lid
Cook for 1 whistle on medium heat
Turn off the heat and let the pressure release naturally
Fluff the pulav gently with a fork
Serve hot
