Check the bottle cap for a child-resistant top
Press down firmly on the cap
Turn the cap counterclockwise at the same time
If there is a safety seal, remove it first
If the spray is new, prime it by spraying into the air as directed on the label
If the cap is stuck, grip it with a dry cloth for better traction
Do not use tools that could damage the bottle
If you cannot open it, ask a pharmacist for help
