How to Paint Stainless Steel?

Clean the stainless steel thoroughly with soap and water

Degrease the surface with acetone or a suitable solvent

Rinse and dry completely

Sand the surface lightly with fine-grit sandpaper or a Scotch-Brite pad

Remove all sanding dust with a tack cloth or lint-free cloth

Apply a metal primer designed for stainless steel or non-ferrous metals

Let the primer dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Apply thin, even coats of paint suitable for metal

Allow each coat to dry before applying the next

Apply additional coats as needed for full coverage

Let the final coat cure fully before use

Seal with a clear protective topcoat if desired

Avoid touching or exposing the painted surface to moisture until fully cured
