Gather painter’s tape, paint, primer, roller, angled brush, level, measuring tape, pencil, and drop cloths
Clean the wall and let it dry
Fill holes and sand rough spots
Apply primer if needed
Paint the base coat and let it dry completely
Measure and mark the stripe placement with a pencil
Use a level to draw straight guideline lines
Apply painter’s tape along the edges of each stripe
Press the tape edges down firmly
Paint the stripe color over the taped areas
Apply a second coat if needed
Remove the tape before the paint fully dries
Touch up any uneven edges with a small brush
Let the paint cure fully before moving furniture back
Use consistent spacing and measurements for even stripes
