Open the Instagram Reel
Tap and hold the screen to pause
Release your finger to resume
If tapping does not pause, try pressing and holding again
On some devices, use the play/pause control if it appears
In full-screen view, tap once if the Reel supports tap-to-pause
If the Reel keeps autoplaying, close and reopen it to try again
