Choose a strawberry pot with drainage holes
Select a sunny location
Gather strawberry plants, potting mix, and water
Soak the potting mix if needed
Place a small piece of mesh or broken pottery over the drainage hole
Add potting mix to the bottom of the pot
Insert one strawberry plant into each side pocket
Fill around the roots with potting mix
Continue adding soil and planting until the top opening is reached
Plant one or two strawberry plants in the top opening
Firm the soil gently around each plant
Water thoroughly until excess drains out
Add more soil if it settles after watering
Place the pot where it gets full sun
Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist
Feed with a balanced fertilizer as needed
Remove dead leaves and runners
Rotate the pot occasionally for even light exposure
