Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Trim outer stems first
Cut stems near the base, just above a leaf node
Remove yellow, damaged, or flowering stems
Pinch off flower buds to encourage leaf growth
Harvest no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Prune regularly to keep the plant bushy
Cut back tall stems to prevent legginess
Avoid cutting into the main stem if possible
Prune in the morning for best freshness
