Save the white bulb ends with roots attached
Place the roots in a small glass or jar
Add enough water to cover the roots, not the whole stalk
Put the jar in a bright windowsill
Change the water every 2 to 3 days
Trim the green tops as they grow
Replant in soil if you want longer-lasting growth
Harvest when the greens reach the desired length
