Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut just above a leaf node
Remove any yellow, damaged, or dead leaves
Trim long vines to the desired length
Prune leggy stems to encourage fuller growth
Cut back overgrown sections in small amounts
Remove no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Prune during active growing season if possible
Place cuttings in water or soil to propagate if desired
Wipe tools before and after pruning
