How to Propagate an Aloe Plant?

Choose a healthy mature aloe plant with several offsets

Remove the plant from its pot carefully

Brush away soil to expose the offsets

Separate offsets from the mother plant with a clean knife or by hand

Make sure each offset has roots attached

Let cut surfaces dry for 1 to 2 days

Fill small pots with well-draining cactus or succulent soil

Plant each offset in its own pot

Keep the soil slightly dry at first

Place the pots in bright indirect light

Water sparingly after the first few days

Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings

Wait for new growth before repotting into larger containers
