Turn on the device you want to control
Find the DirecTV remote code for your TV, soundbar, or other device
Press and hold MUTE and SELECT until the green light flashes twice
Enter the 5-digit code using the number buttons
Point the remote at the device and press POWER
If the device turns off, the code worked
If it does not work, repeat with the next code
To program a TV without a code, press MENU
Select Settings and Help
Select Settings
Select Remote Control
Select Program Remote
Choose the device type
Follow the on-screen prompts
Test volume, power, and input buttons
Repeat setup for additional devices if needed
