Choose a healthy lucky bamboo stalk with at least one node
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut a section just below a node
Make sure the cutting has at least 2 to 3 nodes
Remove any leaves from the lower part of the cutting
Place the cutting in clean water with the nodes submerged
Keep the water level just above the bottom nodes
Put the cutting in bright, indirect light
Change the water every 7 to 10 days
Wait for roots to grow from the nodes
Transfer to soil or keep growing in water once roots are established
Use a well-draining pot if planting in soil
Keep the new plant warm and out of direct sunlight
