Let the engine cool completely
Park on a level surface and set the parking brake
Open the hood
Locate the coolant reservoir and radiator cap
Check the coolant level against the MIN and MAX marks
Use the correct antifreeze/coolant type for your vehicle
Mix coolant with distilled water if required by the product
Slowly remove the reservoir cap or radiator cap only when the engine is cool
Pour coolant into the reservoir or radiator until it reaches the proper level
Replace the cap securely
Start the engine and let it run briefly
Recheck the coolant level after the engine cools again
Add more coolant if needed
Clean up any spills immediately
Dispose of old coolant properly
