Turn off the Dyson vacuum and unplug it from the charger
Remove the wand, bin, and any attached accessories if needed for access
Locate the battery screws on the handle or rear of the unit
Use the correct screwdriver to remove the battery screws
Hold the battery firmly while removing the last screw
Slide or lift the battery out of the vacuum body
Disconnect any battery connector if your model has one
Keep the screws in a safe place for reinstallation
Follow local battery disposal or recycling rules
