Shut off the water supply
Open a faucet to relieve pressure
Cut the PEX pipe on both sides of the clamp
Use a PEX clamp removal tool or end-cutting pliers
Pry up the clamp ear with a flathead screwdriver if needed
Cut through the clamp with diagonal cutters or tin snips
Remove the clamp ring from the fitting
Pull the PEX tubing off the fitting
Inspect the fitting for damage
Replace the clamp with a new one during reassembly
