Disconnect the negative battery terminal
Locate the crank angle sensor on the engine
Remove any covers, intake parts, or components blocking access
Unplug the sensor electrical connector
Remove the mounting bolt or bolts
Pull the sensor out carefully
Compare the old sensor with the new sensor
Clean the mounting area and sensor opening
Install the new sensor in the correct position
Tighten the mounting bolt or bolts to specification
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reinstall any removed covers or components
Reconnect the negative battery terminal
Start the engine and check for proper operation
Scan and clear any stored trouble codes if needed
