Turn on the printer and make sure it is connected to your computer or network
Place the document face down on the scanner glass or face up in the automatic document feeder
Open the printer’s scanning software on your computer
Select the scan option
Choose the document type, scan size, and color settings if needed
Preview the scan if available
Adjust the document position or settings if necessary
Start the scan
Save the scanned file to your computer
Rename the file if needed
Check the saved document to confirm the scan is clear and complete
