Measure your head circumference with a soft tape measure
Wrap the tape around the widest part of your head, about 1 inch above your eyebrows and ears
Record the measurement in inches or centimeters
Compare the measurement to the helmet manufacturer’s size chart
Try on the helmet in the size that matches your measurement
Make sure the helmet sits level on your head and covers your forehead
Check that the helmet feels snug all around without painful pressure points
Confirm that the cheek pads touch your cheeks firmly
Wear the helmet for several minutes to check for comfort
Try to move the helmet side to side and up and down
Make sure the helmet does not rotate easily on your head
Fasten the chin strap and verify a secure fit
Choose a different size if the helmet is too loose or too tight
Recheck fit after the helmet has been worn for a short time
Replace the helmet if it no longer fits properly or has been damaged
