Drink small sips of clean water or oral rehydration solution
Take rest and avoid physical exertion
Eat bland foods like rice, banana, toast, applesauce, and plain crackers
Avoid oily, spicy, fried, and dairy foods
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and carbonated drinks
Eat small meals instead of large meals
Take probiotic foods if tolerated, such as curd or yogurt
Wash hands frequently and keep food hygiene strict
Avoid street food and raw foods until recovery
Use ORS after every loose stool to prevent dehydration
Seek medical help if there is blood in stool, high fever, severe weakness, signs of dehydration, or diarrhea lasting more than 2 days
