Keep cabinet doors open to let warm air reach pipes
Apply gentle heat with a hair dryer
Use a heating pad wrapped around the pipe
Wrap the pipe with warm towels
Use an electric space heater nearby, safely away from water
Start thawing at the faucet end and move toward the frozen section
Check for leaks as the pipe thaws
Leave the faucet open while thawing
Call a plumber if you cannot locate the freeze or the pipe is cracked
Never use an open flame to thaw pipes
