Gather a screwdriver
Locate the screws on the knob or faceplate
Tighten the visible screws clockwise
Remove the knob cover if needed to access hidden screws
Tighten the mounting screws inside the knob
Check the latch plate on the door edge
Tighten the latch plate screws if loose
Test the knob for wobble
Repeat tightening if necessary
