Unbox the router and check that all parts are included
Place the router in a central, elevated, open location
Plug the router into a power outlet
Connect the modem to the router’s WAN or Internet port using an Ethernet cable
Turn on the modem and router
Wait for the indicator lights to show a stable connection
Open a web browser or router app
Enter the router’s setup address or use the app
Log in with the default or existing admin credentials
Change the default admin password
Set or confirm the Wi-Fi network name
Set a strong Wi-Fi password
Choose the appropriate Wi-Fi security setting
Save the settings and let the router restart if needed
Connect your devices to the new Wi-Fi network
Test the internet connection on a device
Use the router app or admin page to manage settings
Update the router firmware when available
Reboot the router if the connection becomes unstable
