Mark the tails on the end of one board
Cut the tail board to the layout lines
Transfer the tail shapes to the pin board
Mark the pin board with the tail board as a template
Cut the pins on the second board
Test the fit of the joint
Pare or trim any tight spots
Apply glue to the mating surfaces
Assemble the joint
Clamp the joint until dry
Flush-trim or sand the joint if needed
