Gather wrapping paper, scissors, tape, and ribbon or a gift tag if desired
Place the box in the center of the wrapping paper
Cut the paper so it can cover the box with a little overlap
Fold one side of the paper over the box and tape it in place
Pull the opposite side snugly over the box and tape it down
Fold the open ends inward to form neat triangles
Fold the top and bottom flaps over the box ends and tape them securely
Repeat on the other end of the box
Smooth any wrinkles and press down all taped edges
Add ribbon or a gift tag if desired
