Open a crafting table
Place 1 honeycomb in the center slot
Place 1 string directly above the honeycomb
Take the candle from the result slot
To dye it, place 1 candle with 1 dye in the crafting grid to make a colored candle
To light it, use flint and steel or a fire charge on the candle
To place multiple candles on one block, stack up to 4 candles of the same color on the same block
