Turn on the printer
Connect the printer to the computer with a USB cable, or connect both to the same Wi-Fi network
Install the printer drivers or software if needed
Open the computer’s printer settings
Select Add Printer or Add Device
Choose the printer from the list
Follow the on-screen setup steps
Print a test page to confirm the connection
