How to Cut Glass Tile?

Measure and mark the cut line on the glass tile with a non-permanent marker

Put on safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves

Place masking tape over the cut line to help reduce chipping

Use a glass cutter or tile cutter with a scoring wheel

Score the tile once along the marked line with firm, even pressure

Place the scored line over the edge of a work surface or tile nippers

Snap the tile cleanly along the score line

Use running pliers if needed to break the tile along the score

For curved or small cuts, use glass tile nippers to remove small sections

For detailed cuts, use a wet saw with a diamond blade made for glass

Cut slowly with the wet saw to minimize cracking

Smooth sharp edges with a rubbing stone or diamond file

Clean the tile after cutting to remove glass dust and residue
