Measure the wall and plan the tile layout
Clean the wall surface thoroughly
Repair any cracks, holes, or uneven areas
Remove outlets, switch covers, and trim if needed
Mark a level reference line on the wall
Find and mark the center point of the wall or focal area
Dry-fit tiles to check spacing and layout
Mix tile adhesive according to the instructions
Apply adhesive to a small section of the wall with a notched trowel
Press tiles into the adhesive with spacers between them
Check tiles for level and alignment as you go
Cut tiles as needed for edges, corners, and obstacles
Let the adhesive cure fully
Remove spacers
Mix grout and apply it into the joints with a grout float
Wipe excess grout from the tile surface with a damp sponge
Let the grout cure
Apply caulk at corners, edges, and joints where needed
Reinstall outlets, switch covers, and trim
Clean the tiled wall after all materials have cured
